Description/Job Summary
The Monterey Processing Plant of Perdue Farms located in Monterey, TN is seeking General Labor Production candidates to join our teams of associates. External candidates will be considered for openings on all shifts as needed and internal Perdue associates will be considered on all shifts as posted. The General Laborer job works on our production areas processing our chicken products and sanitizing our processing areas. This job may require working with raw chicken or cooked chicken products. Typical position assignments include, but are not limited to: placing raw material on production lines, pack out, palletizing, breading, marination, and sanitation.
Responsibilities/Duties
Demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality.
Work at various stations along the production line processing chicken food products.
Adhere to all safety requirements including: PPE, preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, Lockout-Tagout procedures, and Process Safety Management related matters.
Follow instructions given by your supervisor.
Required Qualifications
Be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
Have worked for one employer for at least 6 continuous months in the past three years.
Willing and able to stand for several hours, and lift up to 50lbs.
Willing and able to work in wet and extreme cold and hot conditions
Willing and able to work around flower, spices, and various cleaning chemicals.
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent work history, worked for one employer for more than 6 months in the past year.
Previous manufacturing or production experience, especially in food production.
